Build-a-Bear Saturday
Before I get too far into this post, I'd like to apologize for the recent gap in our updates for starting this sentence with preposition.. We have been having some really great times with Nora has she continued to suprise us with the recent extra phrases she picks up. Seriously, she's humming the tunes to her favorite cartoon preamble which she's never done before. She's also fallen head over heels for a cartoon called POCOYO. When she says it it sounds like "POKE-KE-YOOOO" if you say it with your lips closed. Nora is getting ready for Christmas too, she's learned how to say twenty-five for December 25th, which is close enough. We've also been shocked recently when we found out that Nora can count well past 10. Jaime and Nora started counting stairs as then ascended and decended and Nora easily counts clearly to 15 (which is the end of the stairs). Nora is so proud of her counting that she often just says "One Two Three" at seemly random time. When we repeat 1,2,3 back to her, she often starts laughing. I think she just loves the ability to communicate. So this is one of our favorite games - Nora makes her sounds and we just repeat what she said and watch her crack up.
Nora's school is progressing. They are on "I" now and Nora knows it cold. To Nurse Kim's dismay, Nora teacher (Miss Susan) went straight from "F" to "I" - wanting to hit another vowel. I think Nurse Kim was excited about "G"
We really have no clue what this burst of new abilities is all about. It's like someone turned her personality dial up even higher. We are so proud of our Nora and It's clear that Nora is even proud of herself.

Tada, the brilliant, beautiful Nora struts her stuff. Of course she knows all that stuff - it just took Mommy and Daddy a while to realize it. Much love to all of you.
Nora counted to 31 when we did the calendar last week :) And call me crazy but I just assumed that when you are teaching someone the alphabet, going in the correct order would be pertinent. My thoughts were best described by Nora "Quack Quack Quack Quack" :D(j/k) But we're back on G this week! And Miss Susan is great for little MIss Chatterbox!
Wow.......this is such wonderful news!
Nora's little body, brain, heart and soul must be filled with so much stuff that hopefully will come out and always amaze all of us.
I'm so happy for you.
Merry Christmas.
Linda
p.s. My daughter had a baby girl, Sullivan (Sully) on Nov 21st.
