Boring trip to the Zoo *yawn*
Last weekend we took another trip to the Zoo. It was the perfect temperature for us, but apparently a bit too cold for the animals. We had spend the previous day finger-painting with Nora and the new paints she got from her Aunt Tiffany for her birthday. Nora was singing her usual renditions of "this old man" and "Oscar Mayer Wiener" with the occasional punch line of a joke Jaime tells at bed-time. Jaime does this knock knock joke you may have heard on a earlier video, she says "Knock Knock". Nora says her part, then Jaime says "Orange!"... "Orange you glad I didn't say Banana". It's not funny nor was it really meant to be and Nora knows this so she'll add this little fake laugh at the end of the joke. It's such a quiet fake laugh that it really is funny. Anyway, Nora often says "orange you glad I didn't say banana" (in her own language) from time to time. Like when finger-painting. she'll repeat it over and over again adding that little laugh at the end. Nora is interesting like that - you can spend your whole day trying to figure out why she says what she says.
So the Zoo was nice but a little boring as most of the animals were not cooperating, so it really just turned into a nice walk. The red panda cubs were pretty playful though and we had a fun time watching as they entertained us from behind the glass (kinda have to see the pictures for a visual reference).
We had plans to visit Addy Grace who was in Gatlinburg (about 40 miles away). The plans fell through at the last minute because the cabin they rented was a bit of a rough ride to get to (think Mountain and gravel). With the help of a huge rain storm, it could have been a scary trip. It was a big bummer because we love seeing James, Jen, and Addy. We had so much fun last year when we saw them.

I am proud to carry out my duty as an aunt to send messy gifts to my wonderful niece. :)
Looks like Nora enjoyed the zoo even if the animals weren't exciting. Fun picture of her finger painting - budding artist. ;-) Much love to all of you
