What was Nora for Halloween 2010?

Knoxville Zoo has this event called Boo at the Zoo.  We wanted to go badly but we were worried about exposure.  Then Jaime found out that you can have your picture taken with elephants and we decided it was worth the risk.  We had called ahead and explained Nora's condition and after running into a few road blocks, we got connected with the elephant curator himself.

We arrived at the Zoo early and were ushered back into the hidden part of the zoo.  They were giving us the opportunity to see the two female elephants get into their Halloween costumes.  Yeah, I just said that.  One is an Indian and the other a construction worker.

Nora flat out freaked.... in a bad way.  Thankfully we had enough time for Nora to get used to these GIANT animals before the pictures were taken.  In about 10 minutes, Nora got over her fear and she even was brave enough to touch the elephant's trunk.  What a neat opportunity for any SMA child!  This is an experience we will never forget.  Thank you Knoxville Zoo!!!
